Classes resume on the 28th of January 2012
Fees are paid by the Term. There are four terms.
Due dates
- 1st Term – 28th of January - 5th of April - 10 weeks
- 2nd Term – 23rd of April – 30th of June - 10 weeks
- 3rd Term – 9th of July – 22nd of Sept - 11 weeks
- 4th Term – 8th of October – 14th of December - 10 weeks
50% of fees owing must be paid on the due date or before your child’s 1st class of the Term.
The remaining 50% must be paid by the 4th week of term.
Students will not be allowed into class unless fees are paid as required. There is a $50.00 late fee for any fees not paid by the due date.
There is a yearly Registration/Administration fee. Please see separate attachment.
Easter is a two week holiday but we may do an intensive Irish workshop on Tuesday & Wednesday of the second week of the Easter holiday break. There will be only one week off during the July school holidays (first week) and there will be two weeks off during the October school holidays. There may be an extensive ballet exam course during the second week of the October holidays if the Ballet exams are scheduled early.
There are no deductions on fees unless a doctor’s certificate is provided for things that will keep them from dancing for over a week. There are no deductions for public holidays. At the end of the year there are a lot of extra concert classes free of charge that make up for any public holidays during the year.

- Claddagh Beginners Feis – 22nd of April
- Claddagh Inter & Open Feis – 21st & 22nd of July
Dress Code
We do not have a specific uniform because we like the children to be individuals but we do expect a standard of dress.
Ballet students must wear pink ballet tights and a leotard. (No swimming costumes).Students under 9 yrs may wear pink socks.
It is imperative that Ballet students have their hair securely tied back. If there is a rush from school make sure their hair is in a plait for school as that can be quickly pinned up and out of the way. It is important that children learn the importance of proper grooming.
Jewellery should not be worn in class.
Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop students must be neatly groomed as well. Dancewear only.
Last year children were wasting up to 20 minutes of their class while they changed from their Ballet outfits to Irish or Jazz outfits. I would appreciate it if parents didn’t encourage the changing of outfits if they have consecutive classes. A skirt or shorts added to the leotard should suffice. It is more important that they are in class.
We also insist that children are covered once they are outside the studio. They should not walk around outside in a leotard.
Responsibility
Although we provide a safe environment with sprung and nonslip floors, Students dance at their own risk
We accept no responsibility once the students leave the classroom. We provide a waiting room but children should be picked up once their class has finished.
Food is not allowed in the classroom. Water is allowed where necessary. Chewing Gum is banned.
Dancing bags must stay in the waiting room. Bag slots are provided also a locker can be hired for $40.00 per year.
Open Days
Parents are not allowed in the classroom however we do have an open day at the end of each Term so you can view your child’s progress. You will be notified in advance but it is usually their last or second last class of term.
Private Lessons
Private lessons must be booked through the principal. You must not approach assistant teachers about Private lessons.
A private lesson, once booked, must be for a full term and paid for by the term in the same manner as class fees.
There are no deductions unless the teacher cancels.
